Fifteen years ago almost to the day, Radio des Milles Collines started broadcasting programs that allowed a terrible genocide to occur in Rwanda. Today in Burundi, a neighbor of Rwanda, Radio Publique Africaine has harnessed the same power of persuasion to fight corruption and promote development in that country. Susana Carillo of the World Bank Institute tells the story of this amazing program supported by the World Bank with the help of International Alert an independent peace building organization.
